2 Timothy 2:15

NKJV Bible Commentary: “Some believe this verse refers to the birth of Christ and that the woman is Mary.  However, it may refer to the woman’s special task of bearing children.”

MSG “On the other hand, her childbearing brought about salvation, reversing Eve.  But this salvation only comes to those who continue in faith, love, and holiness, gathering it all into maturity.  You can depend on this.”

Isaiah 13:8

            Like a woman giving birth to a baby.

NKJV Bible Commentary:  “a woman in childbirth: This is a familiar image of stress in the poetry of the Bible.”

2 Timothy 3:15

Genesis 15:2-3

MSG “Abram said, ‘God, Master, what use are your gifts as long as I’m childless and Eliezer of Damascus is going to inherit everything?’ Abram continued, ‘See, you’ve given me no children, and now a mere house servant is going to get it all.’”

Matthew 18:3-5
