Trusting

Psalm 37:7 NKJV "Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for Him;
          Do not fret because of him who prospers in his way,
          Because of the man who brings wicked schemes to pass."

Romans 8:16-17 NCV "And the Spirit himself joins with our spirits to say we are God's children.  If we are God's children, we will receive blessings from God together with Christ.  But we must suffer as Christ suffered so that we will have glory as Christ has glory."

1 Peter 2:9-10 NKJV "But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; who once were not a people but are now the people of God, who had not obtained mercy but now have obtained mercy."

These verses are cited for today in Sarah Young's Jesus Calling: Enjoying Peace in His Presence.  My aunt first showed me this devotional book, and I have since heard KLOVE Radio (http://www.klove.com/) talking about it.  This is an incredible book--she wrote the daily devotions as if Jesus is talking to you as you read the words.  Talk about a great way to get encompassed in His promises.

I want to be more dedicated to giving my life to Jesus daily, in each moment.  My mom is such an encouragement to me, especially when it comes to reading the Bible daily.  She is doing a great thing for herself, her relationship with God, and her ability to help others through her commitment to her devotions--I want that, too!
